The Way I See It...

This is where I chronicle all of the juicy tid bits and naughty bits of life, the way I see it.

If only we were as pretty as a picture. My friend edited this image of a Janesko painting with my face. I am learning how to do edits like this one and I will be displaying them on my blog when I do.

My name is Deanna and I started this Blog to chronicle the every day things that amuse, entertain or otherwise irritate me to no end.  I live in Sacramento and work downtown where there never ceases to be a slew of interesting people or occurrences.

I have worked for years as an Interior Designer as well as in the home building and home improvement industry.  Unless you have been in a coma for the last few years you are aware that the industry has pretty much been in a crap hole.  So at age 30 (ish - you didn't think I would really tell you, did you?) I found my self changing careers, on the brink of losing my home while trying to maintain normalcy for myself and my 19 year old son.  Unless you have been there, you don't know what it is like to be a top producer for a company and then get laid off at the height of your income producing years.  I worked for a particular home builder in the Sacramento and Roseville area, in the design center.  I was by far the top sales person, which translates to she who makes the most money shall be laid off first,as a ploy to save the company a few bucks.  Of course I think that way of thinking is heinously ridiculous!! If I make the most...that would also mean that I am selling the most...thereby making THEM the most money??  Do the math.

Anyway, I purchased my beautiful home from them and just days after close of escrow, they let me go. However, Karma is a bitch and I love her dearly sometimes.  They are no longer in business in Northern California.  Does it suck for the many employees who also lost their jobs, yes! Am I happy that the suits that let us all go also lost their jobs, hell yes!! Not bitter, just enjoy Karma doing her best to even out the field.

So now...I'm here rambling and venting and quietly observing the world as I see it.  I love reading, I love writing and I love sharing my thoughts.  I hope you enjoy this site as much I will writing on it.
